This town keeps one of its most beautiful secrets at kilometer 4.5 of Tizimín-Río Lagartos highway—the Cenote Kikil tourist site, considered the gateway to the Río Lagartos Biosphere, famous for its thousands of flamingos population that arrive here from May to September.

This corridor's main jewel is the open kind’s Kikil cenote, one of the few in Mexico that remains almost intact. Let yourself be hypnotized by its waters colored with a mixture of green and blue different shades. It’s also a great place to swim with its more than 50 meters deep.

Around it there are hammocks to enjoy the delicious weather. There’s even the possibility of renting a cabin and staying admiring the site’s beauty. There are also those who schedule special events getting the best of the flowers and extensive vegetation landscape beauty, that give it a mystical halo.
