Papantla

The museums and cultural centers of Papantla complement the information on the culture, traditions and history of this Pueblo Mágico that, far from staying in the past, continues existing today.

The Museo Teodoro Cano (Teodoro Cano Museum) pays tribute to the artist who founded the art workshops and was a Diego Rivera disciple for over 40 years. The enclosure preserves a collection of paintings of different techniques, prehispanic pieces, works of the students graduated from the workshop, documents and typical dresses, among other things.

On the other hand, the Museo de las Máscaras (Museum of Masks), located in the municipality of San Pablo, exhibits an about 300 pieces collection, both Totonacas and from the entire state of Veracruz and the world. After that you could find interest in visiting the Casa de la Cultura (House of Culture), where there are usually exhibitions.
