Córdoba

Veracruz

This Veracruz municipality is in the state’s high mountains region, close to the coast. Its warm humid climate gives you not only the opportunity to travel light but to enjoy pleasant moments. You can spend the afternoons in a marimbas, jaraneros, mariachis and rondallas atmosphere as you walk through its historic center.

The city streets look almost impeccable. You’ll notice that as you discover the historical buildings where municipality history was written, as well as a neuralgic part in our country's memoir with a treaty of which we will tell you about later.

If you’re a coffee lover, your visit will likely be very pleasant. If you aren’t, for sure you’ll get a taste for it very soon, since Cordoba has extraordinary high altitude coffee, which you will hardly be able to resist.

Its daytime life is quite hectic but none of this diminishes at nightfall, when restaurants offer delicious typical dinners enliven with romantic music or the bars in downtown are filled with travelers who come to enjoy a “jarocha” evening in the heat of a “Menyul”, the Veracruz version of the Mint Julep cocktail. Needless to say, the people of Cordoba assure is much better than the original.

Getting to this charming place among mountains and sea will take you around 4 hours 10 minutes from Mexico City (300 km), 2 hours 40 minutes (180 km) form Puebla, both road trips. If you travel from Veracruz, it will take you 1 hour 30 minutes (110 km) by car.
