Coatepec

Adventure tourism is one of the top choices among the travelers who come to visit Coatepec. In this regard, we can talk about La Granada, an ecological reserve with more than 20 hectares. Here you can find an amazing waterfall and a beautiful forest with an enigmatic fog.

This is a great opportunity for practising trekking, since you will need to go up more than 1000 steps. Wear appropriate shoes and clothing. Once at top, you will need to cross a river in order to get to an imposing mountain of more than 70 meters in height. Enjoy the view.

Another important place in the history of Coatepec is the Cerro de las Culebras (Snakes’ Hill). In this hill you will find an oriel with an image of The Sacred Heart of Christ brought from Barcelona in the 70’s. The view from here is breathtaking.

This zone that is declared as a Protected Natural Area is located in what we know today as “The Old Coatepec”. You can explore this zone by car or by foot, this later, the best one if you really want to maximize your adventure.,
