Imala

Culiacán

Hot springs paradise

Imala is a community located 25 km from Culiacán and that in 2016 received the distinction of Pueblo Señorial. It stands out for the beauty of its landscapes, which have made it an important photographic stop due to its colors, its impressive nature and its traditional houses with red roofs and decorated with wrought iron details.
Its colonial constructions such as the church of San Juan Bautista, whose domes stand out for their color and height, its square and cobblestone avenues, are unmissable.

One of the main tourist attractions in Imala are its thermal water springs, ideal for pampering and relaxing. Around these natural pools you will find “palapas (grass or palm roofs)”, gardens and restaurants to enjoy a fun day with family or friends. Spa sessions are also offered.

During your visit you will be able to delight yourself with dishes from the region such as the aromatic bread made in a stone oven, accompanied by a pot coffee, “tamales”, “chilorio” (pork dish made with dried peppers, orange juice, vinegar, and other spices), “machaca” (sun dried meat) and typical snacks.
This destination is also ideal for lovers of ecotourism and outdoor activities, as its natural attractions are enjoyed to the fullest. Go camping, climbing, and take bike tours.
