Very close to Real de Catorce, in the municipality of Venado, the Mezcal Route begins in San Luis Potosí where you can taste this drink, as well as get to know old farms and their production process.

Once in the municipality of Venado, visit the Robert Donis Cultural Center and observe the collection of Australian art pieces, then go to the town of Charcas to visit old farms, the Temple of the Virgen del Rosario and taste its typical gorditas railroads.

Here is the Laguna Seca mezcal factory, which operates all year round and is open to the public. Take a guided tour to learn the history of this ancient drink. The Santa Isabel and Zaragoza de Solís companies are also unmissable.

The route continues through Pocitos, where you can taste roasted chinicuiles, and ends in the town of Salinas, where the salt production factories are located.
