El Museo Regional de Querétaro (the Regional Museum of Querétaro) is located inside the old convent of San Francisco, which is home to particularly charming, colonial-style cloisters. This place, houses a Viceregal picture gallery which is considered to be of great importance to the country.

Inside the old Capuchin convent, where Maximiliano of Habsburgo was also imprisoned, is the Museo de la Ciudad (The City's Museum). You can visit the rooms of this museum, located in the center of Querétaro, for just $5 Mexican pesos.

The Museo de Arte de Querétaro (Querétaro Art Museum) is located at Allende 14 Sur, in the city’s Historical Center. Pay a visit to the Ex-Convent of San Agustín, which houses a collection of paintings from the New Spain. You will find and works by Francisco Antonio Vallejo and Cristobal de Villalpando, among others.
