On your way through Huachinango, Puebla, take the time to explore an old augustinian convent that has become one of the most visited sanctuaries by devout Catholics.
Built in the 16th century, the Santuario del Señor de su Santo Entierro (Sanctuary of the Lord in his Holy Burial), has a simple interior, very different from the ostentatious of other religious enclosures. Its bare stone walls are the refuge of the patron saint of the town, located at the center.
There you will also find a mural by the artist Raúl Domínguez there, where he portrayed the evolution and changes that the convent has undergone over the years.
