Sanctuary for the faithful believers

One of the most important sanctuaries in Mexico is located in the Magical Town of Juquila, The Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora Inmaculada de Juquila; here several pilgrims come to venerate her throughout the year, especially on the months of November and May.

The Sanctuary is a majestic neoclassical building, built in the 18th century, its façade with a bell tower and its two doors with large arches invite several faithful believers to visit this beautiful place. Inside there is a dome and large stained glass windows at the back. Several oil paintings can be admired above these large stained glass windows, where they show the appearance of the Immaculate Conception.

The temple is adorned with flowers of many colors, candles and candles help to illuminate the central part of this place. Many of the faithful come to this altar to receive the blessing of the Virgin's mantle.

At the beginning of December, the inhabitants of the central valley of Oaxaca and believers from all over the country, especially Chiapas, Mexico City, Guerrero and the State of Mexico organize to follow the old pilgrim path.
