Coral Island

Rincón de Guayabitos

A must-see is definitely Coral Island, you can get there by taking a boat that leaves the beach and has different departures during the day, but try to leave early so you can take advantage of it.

This island is considered an ecological reserve protected by the state of Nayarit and is home to an important variety of marine flora and fauna.

You will be surprised by the number of pelicans, seagulls, earwigs, blue-footed boobies -an iconic animal of Nayarit and Vallarta- as well as impressive schools of fish.

This beautiful panorama deserves to be explored and one of the greatest ways to do it is by practicing diving or snorkeling in its crystalline waters.

During the trip, if you travel in glass-bottomed boats, you will be able to see the Virgen de la Purísima Concepción (Virgin of the Immaculate Conception), a metal image the size of a person (160-165 cm / 5.2-5.4 ft.), considered the protector of the fishermen in this region.

If you travel from November to March, you might be lucky enough to encounter everything from dolphins to humpback whales along the way. Definitely a small trip that could be described as a great journey.
