Get ready to start this route with the dynamism of Mexico City. Here you can experience the importance of its past and the beauty of its modernity, where you can choose from a large number of activities that include museums, historical monuments, culture and art. There are also many malls, shops, entertainment centers and varied gastronomic experiences.

The route goes to the Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) of Cholula, Puebla. This is one of the oldest cities in America, from where you can admire the Popocatépetl volcano. Here you will find delicious food everywhere, try out restaurants, inns and coffee shops, as well as bars and nightclubs. Visit the archaeological site of Cholula where you will be able to see its great pyramid; there is also a museum and a sanctuary.

The next destination will be the city of Puebla, it has a beautiful colonial downtown you must visit. Its churches are of baroque architecture -like the cathedral-, you can also visit the Biblioteca Palafoxiana (Palafoxiana Library). Other points of interest are the Mercado de Artesanías (Handicraft Market) -where you can buy real works of art like Talavera-, the street of sweets or the Barrio de los Artistas (Artists' Quarter). The gastronomy of Puebla is world famous, so you should not miss trying the chiles en nogada, the mole and the cemitas.

Returning to the route now towards the state of Tlaxcala, the next stop will be the Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) of Huamantla. Stroll through the downtown area where you will see the Templo y Ex Convento de San Luis Obispo (Temple and Ex-Convent of San Luis Obispo), it is a very old construction that dates back to 1585. Try the matuma mole and buy beautiful handicrafts made of clay.

Then continue to the state of Veracruz where you will first visit the city of Xalapa. This city has a wide variety of museums to visit, such as the Anthropology Museum. A walk through the downtown area will take you to the Catedral Metropolitana de la Inmaculada Concepción (Metropolitan Cathedral of the Inmaculada Concepción) where you can also see the secret catacombs.

To end the route you will visit the Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) of Coatepec. In the last century it was known as The Capital of Coffee, so if you love this drink, you will be happy here, because you can enjoy tastings and visit museums dedicated to coffee. At downtown, you can walk through its zócalo and try out one of the many places available to eat and maybe even discover a snack, you can also visit shops where you can buy handicrafts.
