Route through the Mountains to the Port of Veracruz

The beautiful city of Puebla is where this route begins. Considered a World Heritage Site, it preserves true architectural jewels in its Historic Downtown, such as the Zócalo, the Cathedral, Los Portales and the Capilla del Rosario. And if you want to find the best panoramic view, go up to the Los Fuertes viewpoint, it is a special place to take the best photos of the city! Be sure to try the mole poblano, the cemitas and the chiles en nogada.

The tour continues at the state of Veracruz, headed towards Orizaba. Taking a stroll through the cobbled streets is a delight; visit the Beer Museum, and the Cathedral, complement your walk with an aromatic cup of coffee in one of the places that surround the main square. Then go to the Paseo del Río and admire the beautiful landscape.

Córdoba is located 40 minutes east of Orizaba. When touring the Historic Downtown you can admire the most important colonial buildings, such as the Portal de Zevallos, the Catedral de la Inmaculada Concepción (Inmaculada Concepción Cathedral) and the Coffee Museum. Take the cable car to ascend 300 meters (984 ft) and admire the view.

The route ends at the Port of Veracruz, located one hour and twenty minutes northeast. Take a walk along the Malecón (Boardwalk), visit the Naval Museum and the Baluarte de Santiago (Santiago Bastion). The heart of the port is very beautiful, we recommend you to visit it in the afternoon and delight yourself with the famous Veracruz coffee at Los Portales, while you enjoy the sounds and colors of this joyful city.
