Known as the Angel of Independence, it is one of the most emblematic monuments of Mexico City.
It is the meeting place for Mexicans, where triumphs are celebrated, in the same way, that voices are raised in the face of disagreements or concerts and events are held.
 
It was inaugurated in 1910 to commemorate the centenary of Independence, during the government of President Porfirio Díaz, and is one of the most important symbols of national identity.
 
Few know that you can go up to its viewpoint, which is reached through 200 steps and from there, admire an incredible view of the city. At its base is the mausoleum, where the remains of some of the national heroes are found."
 
El Ángel is located on Avenida Paseo de la Reforma and the intersection of Eje 2 Poniente Río Tiber and Florencia and is an obligatory stop on your visit to the Mexican capital.
