Nestled between the Cortes Sea coast and tree-clad mountains is Navojoa, a city bathed by the River Mayo that preserves the mark of its history in the Church of the Sacred Heart, El Pueblo Viejo and Municipal Palace. You can sit in the square and watch the sunset while your skin is caressed by the warm coastal climate as you breathe in the fresh mountain air. Or you can return to the River Mayo to see how the water seems to fill with fire while it joins the red horizon and the birds float like colored handkerchiefs.
