Under an extensive blue sky, combining the sea and the desert, surrounded by beautiful mountains and stone cliffs is Tecate. It is accompanied by Cerro Cuchuma, a mountain sacred to the Kumiai people. The ground in this magical town is covered with forests of pine and oak, vines and olive trees.

Bread is being baked; we can stroll about the Miguel Hidalgo Park and travel by train. But, mostly, we come here in search of peace and quiet, to seek out those ranches turned hotels, or to relax in spas, where the body can rest. Now, if you are looking for a different sort of activity, you can go hiking and observe the incredible scenery of La Rumorosa with its giant rocks, which is one of the most striking landscapes in the country.

From the highest rocks you can see all the way up to Laguna Salada (Salt Lagoon). You will have to take a ride through the Vallecitos Archaeological Area, where you will find more than 18 sets of cave paintings and petroglyphs. There are places for camping and you can also do some mountain biking. You can also visit numerous farming ranches where its people have learned to make wine and beer.

Come to live a unique experience in one of Mexico's Pueblos mágicos; visit Tecate.
