Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mexico City's Historic downtown area brings together the stages of pre-Columbian and viceregal Mexico. In it, you can admire the archaeological ruins of the Templo Mayor, or Main Temple, as well as its civil and religious buildings from the 16th to the 19th centuries.

STOP BY THE CONSTITUION SQUARE
Visit Constitution Square (known as the Zocalo) and admire the important viceregal buildings within its confines; the National Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Governmental Palace, and the Merchants Portal.

VISIT THE MAIN TEMPLE
Discover the museum and the archaeological ruins of the Templo Mayor that display the remains of the pre-Columbian city on which the current city and the capital of New Spain was built.

BE DAZZLED BY THE PALACE OF FINE ARTS
Visit the Palace of Fine Arts and enjoy the permanent and temporary exhibitions that are housed there.

DINNER IN A VICEREGAL ENVIRONMENT
Delight yourself with the lights that illuminate the night and dine in a restaurant framed by viceregal or porfirian architecture in the Historic Center. You can find several options, such as the House of the Tiles, Habita’s Downtown Mexico Hotel or the Grand Hotel of Mexico City.
