Jiquilpan de Juarez, Michoacan

Jiquilpan Huanimba (indigo place) because of its dye producing flowers; the historical and cultural place in western Michoacan state. Birthplace of important men such as General Lazaro Cardenas del Rio and place that is home to important venues such as the “Lic. Gabino Ortiz” Public Library, in which 10 murals painted by Master Jose Clemente Orozco are preserved.

Leaving from Mexico City, 282 miles over the Mexico-Guadalajara Federal Highway 15, or the Mexico-Guadalajara freeway, exit at la Barca toward Jiquilpan (approximately 21 miles from the exit). Leaving from Guadalajara, 90 miles over the Mexico-Guadalajara Federal Highway 15, or the Mexico-Guadalajara Freeway, exit at la Barca toward Jiquilpan (approximately 21 miles from the exit). Leaving from Morelia 147 miles over the Mexico-Guadalajara Federal Highway 15, or the Mexico-Guadalajara freeway, exit at la Barca toward Jiquilpan (approximately 21 miles from the exit).
