Talpa de Allende

Talpa de Allende, Jalisco, is also a place of natural attractions and one that you will really take to your heart as you travel through it is el Bosque de Maple (Maple's Forest). This extends over 60 thousand hectares (140,000 acres) filled with maple trees, pines, oaks, ferns and different specimens of endemic flora.

The best time of the year to visit el Bosque de Maple is autumn, when the trees begin to shed their leaves, painting the landscape in different shades of red, orange and yellow, like an authentic Canadian forest.

La Feria de la Guayaba (Guava Fair) is a very important celebration, since it is a typical fruit of the region that is cultivated in Talpa. It takes place the third week of November and, if you visit it, you can get to know the enormous industry that has developed around this fruit. The Fair includes dancing, gastronomy and a lot of fun.
