In the bowels of the Sierra Madre Occidental, is located San Sebastián del Oeste, Jalisco’s Pueblo Mágico. Far from being daring, this combination contrasts with the uniform exteriors of their houses.

If you have spare time, explore its streets and contemplate the houses balconies adorned with bougainvillea, take a walk along its stone bridge and inhale pine trees, oaks and capomos aroma while breathing pure mountain air.

If you look carefully, high in the sky you’ll see hawks flying towards the forest and at night you will probably hear coyotes howling. In San Sebastián del Oeste fauna is part of the environment.

From Puerto Vallarta, it will take you around an hour and a half (42 miles) to get there. From Riviera Nayarit, the journey will be 2 hours and 15 minutes (68 miles), and 4 hours and 15 minutes (167 miles) from Guadalajara. All by car. As it’s located in the mountains, it has a humid climate with average annual temperature around 19 C (66 F), making it an ideal destination for any season.
