Also known as Fernando Hiriart Dam, the dam is located at the junction of the Rivers San Juan and Tula, which forms a large water mirror surrounded by beautiful semi-desert landscapes and is the place where the limit between the states of Hidalgo and Queretaro passes.

Las Adjuntas is located nine kilometers (6 miles) from Tecozautla, on the shores of this reservoir, and is the perfect place to go for a meal overlooking the lake or to embark on an exciting boat ride.
