San Antonio Canyon and Dam

Tecozautla

About nine kilometers (6 miles) from Tecozautla is this reservoir, a gravity dam that forms a semicircular waterfall, founded at the same time as the monumental clock of the Pueblo Mágico, with the objective of supplying water to the towns of Pañhé, Gandhó, and San Antonio.

On one side of the dam rises the majestic San Antonio Canyon, created by natural erosion, it is a perfect place to practice trekking, besides observing the flora and fauna. Some come here to observe the silhouette of a stone virgin.
