Guerrero

The state of Guerrero is a jewel of the Mexican Republic, it is located in the southwestern region of the country, bordered to the north by the states of Morelos, Estado de México (State of Mexico) and Puebla and by Oaxaca to the east, its proximity to the center of the country, makes Guerrero a favorite vacation destination.

Its territory offers natural landscapes such as beaches, grottoes, archaeological sites, as well as historical buildings. In Chilpancingo, the state capital city, you can visit the Templo Santa María de la Asunción (Santa María de la Asunción Temple) and the Museo Regional de Guerrero (Guerrero Regional Museum).

The state is mainly known for its incredible beaches such as Acapulco, which has been the tourist destination par excellence in Mexico and Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, that is more appealing every day due to the variety of attractions and resorts it has to offer. You can also visit Barra de Potosí, Playa Ventura, which is ideal if you are looking for a more relaxed plan in contact with nature, or Playa Cayaquitos and Playa Bocana, among others.

If you are a nature lover, we recommend you to visit the Parque Nacional Grutas de Cacahuamilpa (Grutas de Cacahuamilpa National Park) where you will discover various rock formations. On the other hand, the Cascada de Cacalotenango (Cacalotenango Waterfall) is the perfect setting for hiking.

Taxco is a Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) famous for its colonial constructions and for being one of the most important silver producing regions in the country. Walk its cobbled avenues and alleys and stop to admire the Parroquia de Santa Prisca (Santa Prisca Parrish). The gastronomy of Guerrero is as rich as its culture, which combines prehispanic and Spanish traditions. We recommend you to try the pozole, the jumiles and if you are more courageous, the iguana meat.

As you can see in Guerrero there is much to enjoy, prepare your trip and discover it.
