If you are considering a place for enjoying and appreciating nature and its surroundings, then this eco touristic place called The Muses (Las Musas) is the right spot. Here you will be able to enjoy and capture amazing pictures. This is a protected natural area and is characterized for having several species of trees like ahuehuete trees, pines, willow and ash trees in different stages of growth and perfectly conserved.

The Muses is located in Manuel Doblado municipality. In 2002 was decree Protected Natural area by the State Government. Then in 2007 was awarded with first and second place Prize for The Conservation of The Cultural Heritage in Guanajuato.

There’s a legend that says that during Virreinal times, a rich man that owned several haciendas, had two beautiful daughters, that used to play around this place. The name Las Musas comes from the fact that they were under surveillance by his father.

Here you will find a rich diversity of invertebrate species like shrimps, and river crabs. There are plenty of birds that embellish the place like woodpeckers, swallows, hummingbirds, ducks, owls among more species.

There are plenty of eco friendly activities to do such as camping, trekking and even research. We recommend that you use comfortable shoes and clothing and apply sunblock.
