This religious temple was built by the Order of Los Agustinos, during the conquest, to convert its population to Catholicism. Inside the convent you will find one of the most important Pre-Hispanic artistic gems of the region: we are talking about a series of frescos made more than 500 years ago. Together they constitute a representation of the Garden of Eden.

In Malinalco you can eat very well, you will be able to taste some delicious cecina tacos with chorizo or enjoy a trout with a local finger-licking style. You can’t leave without tasting a delicious glass of pulque, an alcoholic drink which is obtained from the fermentation of the maguey. If you have an adventurous palate, then you should taste an iguana broth or frog tamales, accompanied with a delicious sauce, onions, nopales and potatoes.
