Ciudad Juárez

Chihuahua

Located in the desert, with an arid and extreme climate, where the ancient and the modern are combined, this is Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, the industrial destination of northern Mexico. With a relaxed atmosphere, it is one of those places where time passes slowly and leads us to discover how the well-known “Paso del Norte”, was evolving over the years.

This border town is located in a large valley on the banks of the Rio Bravo, opposite its neighboring U.S. city El Paso, Texas.

In Ciudad Juárez there is a lot to do. It begins with the Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (“Our Lady of Guadalupe Cathedral”), which features a stained glass window dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe. On one side, the well-preserved Misión de Guadalupe de los Mansos in Paso del Río del Norte can be seen.

On Avenida Juarez is el Museo de Historia (“The History Museum”) that reflects the rich history of Mexico. Inside is a collection of Spanish artifacts from the era of Spanish domination in Mexico.

Almost on the corner with Gómez Marín, the Museo del Concorde (“Concorde Museum”) is waiting for you to walk the thousand meters of extension. Discover the many original components that made the Concorde fly.

On your way you will come across the Cuauhtémoc market, located in a building with two floors. On the ground floor you will be able to sit down and taste one of the typical dishes of the region, while upstairs you will find leather goods, jewelry, handicrafts and sculptures.

Enjoy the nightlife of the city in one of its night clubs or bars, located in the downtown area, highlighting its beautiful architecture by offering the best drinks.
