Tonalá

Enjoy the natural beauties of Tonalá visiting La Sepultura Biosphere Reserve where you can relax with the singing of the endemic species of birds that fill the space with their song, besides being able to hike and sleep under the stars without deciding to stay and camp.

Another option is El Madresal Ecotourism Park which is located 40 minutes from downtown. Here you can rent a boat to walk, fish, and explore the majesty of the mangroves while you are surrounded by vegetation and your eyes fill with the colors of the species that decided to make this place their home.

If you travel to Tonalá in July and December we recommend you stop at El Campamento Tortuguero (Turtle Camp) since these are the months in which the babies of this species are released into the ocean.
