Mazatlán, located in the state of Sinaloa, is commonly known as a Mexican resort, and as the Pearl of the Pacific. But, what does Mazatlán have to be considered a Mexican resort? It is one of the destinations in Mexico that has one of the longest beaches in the country.

What can I find in Mazatlán?

The first obligatory stop is in the historic center, where you can find various traditional buildings, with a baroque style that is part of the legacy of the mining times of Mazatlán. Take a tour of the famous “Teatro Angela Peralta”, discover priceless pieces in the Museum of Archeology, and give the gastronomy of this place a chance, in one of the different restaurants around downtown.

A destination where you find tradition and the sea in one place

The boardwalk of Mazatlán, is one of the favorite attractions for locals and visitors, with an extension of 21km, it has earned the title of being the second largest in the world.

The ideal would be to go all over it, but if walking is not your thing, there are various businesses where you can make constant stops, enjoy yourself in a restaurant overlooking the sea, admire the sculptures that are an important part of the boardwalk such as It is the one dedicated to Pedro Infante, or just enjoying the sand at Playa Olas Altas . But if what you want is a little more privacy and tranquility, Playa Gaviotas is very visited for its calm waters.

If what you are looking for are water activities, Playa Venado is perfect for diving, and learn a little of the marine life, also, if you are ready to challenge the waves, you can rent a board and go surfing.

Mazatlán is home to a treasure, well, more like three treasures ready to be visited by you, three islands, considered virgin oases. Isla Venado, Isla Chivo and Isla Pájaros, in them you can find endemic flora and fauna of the place. There are different ways to get to any of the three islands, from a guided tour, or if you prefer, you can rent a canoe or kayak, and start the trip on your own. You will not regret taking a walk through the landscapes that the various islands have to offer you.

Night life

To end the day, you should not miss the Mazatlán nightlife. The Golden Zone, located near the boardwalk, is very popular because of the many discotheques and bars available, where you can go to enjoy music and a quiet drink, with an atmosphere that only Mazatlán can offer you.

The best time to enjoy this incredible destination is in the month of October, but it is always a good time to learn more about our beloved Mexico; don’t think twice and enjoy Mazatlán.
