Destinations to fall in love

usuario Alexia Arana

If you are thinking of a romantic getaway for the weekend this February 14, you have come to the right place. We will tell you the perfect destinations to spend Valentine's Day in the best way.

Bacalar, Quintana Roo

The first destination that we recommend you visit on Valentine's Day is Bacalar, best known for its Seven Color Lagoon. Its lagoon is shallow, so it is ideal for all kinds of activities, from swimming, kayaking, to snorkeling, and it is little visited at this time, which will give you the privacy to enjoy this destination with your partner.

Throughout this incredible Magical Town, you will find different piers, where you will see perfect views of the lagoon and the different colors that are in it. We suggest you find a hotel or inn that already includes access to the lagoon, or if you prefer, you can always walk downtown or to one of the available docks to enjoy this incredible natural attraction.

Los Cabos, Baja California Sur

Known as the Capital of Marlin and home to the Arch, Los Cabos is the perfect place to enjoy with your partner on Valentine's Day. Where the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean touch; here the adventure never ends, you can enjoy various activities, such as snorkeling and diving at one of the most beautiful reefs in the country, the Cabo Pulmo reef, considered a World Heritage Site (UNESCO).

If your thing is more to have adventures out of the water, you will get to know Los Cabos from another point of view as you descend one of the longest and fastest zip lines in the world, known as the Superman. To end this incredible weekend, you can enjoy the various luxury stores that Luxury Avenue has to offer, what is better than to go shopping with your best friend?

To close the romantic evening with a golden bow, if you and your partner enjoy partying, you are going to love this, one of the main attractions in Los Cabos are its bars and clubs, so it is the perfect way to end the day. But if you want to enjoy a romantic dinner, there are many places that offer spectacular views where you can taste the delights of the sea.

San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato

An obligatory stop before arriving in San Miguel de Allende, is at the state’s capital, Guanajuato, where one of the most visited destinations by couples in love is found, the famous “Callejón del Beso” (Kiss Alley), a mythical place where couples seal their love giving each other a tender kiss. Legend has it that if the kiss is not performed on the third step of this alley, the couple will have seven years of bad luck.

After having made this obligatory stop, we are ready to leave for San Miguel de Allende, where you can enjoy unparalleled romantic activities with your partner, either enjoying the view of the city from a hot air balloon, a highly recommended activity, or riding through the fields on horseback, just like in a fairy tale, you can finish the night enjoying the nightlife of the city, always accompanied by mariachis and at various restaurants where you can enjoy a very Mexican romantic dinner.

Valle de Bravo, State of Mexico

Another of the most romantic places to enjoy on Valentine's Day is Valle de Bravo, one of the most popular Magical Towns. Among its main attractions is the lake, with calm waters that are perfect for different water activities.

If what you are looking for is some adventure, you and your partner can enjoy sailing or water skiing. But if you prefer a quieter activity, there are various boats available in which you can enjoy a romantic ride, on a yacht, canoe, sailboat, etc. For couples looking to connect with nature, there are also various ecotourism activities. You can bike through the city, enjoy the Main Square, observe the incredible views that Cerro de la Cruz and the Monte Alto viewpoint offer, or if you want to relax at the end of the day, Valle de Bravo is famous for its relaxing saunas.
