Vine and Wine Museum

Valle de Guadalupe

Immerse yourself in the history of the region by visiting the Vine and Wine Museum, located in the heart of the Valle de Guadalupe at kilometer 83.3 of the Tecate-Ensenada highway.

The permanent collection, distributed in four rooms that occupy two levels, offers a tour through history, industry, identity and wine, as well as its relationship with art.

In the room dedicated to the history of wine you can learn about the first evidence of wine making in the world and how this drink forms part of the culture of peoples and civilizations. Then, it presents the viticulture in Mexico, which arrived with the Spanish conquerors until our days.

The industry room explains the production process. While the identity room focuses on the key actors in both the production and promotion of wine, as well as on the emergence of festivals and the formation of a wine culture in Baja California.

Finally, the wine and art room shows how the creativity of painters, designers and sculptors has participated in the intervention of different bottles inspired by the wine culture.

The museum also offers four temporary exhibitions a year. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 5pm and most of the tours organized by the Wine Route include a visit to the museum.
