Harvest Festival

Valle de Guadalupe

The culture of wine brings with it the celebration of the different moments of its production. Throughout the year there are events that reach their peak during la Fiesta de la Vendimia (the Harvest Festival).

In February, it begins with the Festival de Las Conchas y el Vino Nuevo (Festival of Shells and New Wine) where the best wine of the previous year is pointed out and the celebration is accompanied by snacks prepared with products from the region of Baja California.

La Fiesta de los Viñedos en Flor (The Blooming Vineyards Festival) arrives in May and celebrates the appearance of the first bunches of grapes with equestrian and folkloric shows.

By July, la feria del Guateque mixes music and artisan wine tasting.

Meanwhile, in August, the long-awaited Fiesta de la Vendimia (Harvest Festival) arrives, organized by La Asociación de Vitivinicultores y ProVino de Baja California, with a display of cultural, gastronomic and oenological events.

All the wineries come together to celebrate the harvest for 25 days and there are events of all kinds, from the Verbena Popular to the Muestra del Vino and el Concurso de Paellas, among others.
