With a colorful facade, the Casa de la Cultura Profesor Alfredo Green González in San José del Cabo invites you to get to know its history and facilities. The enclosure opened its doors in 1974, with the Biblioteca Pública Municipal (“Municipal Public Library”) as a shelter. Historical records indicate that the building was inhabited by Missionary Priests of the Añuití, today San José Mission.

In the place, the heritage of the historical legacy and the tradition of continuing to strengthen the cultural identity of the town can be observed, by awakening love and passion for what they do. It continues its aim to provide children and young people with the best spaces for learning, by promoting and strengthening the local culture.

Here you can find different types of activities and workshops, including Polynesian and folkloric dance, modern dance, theatre, belly dance, painting, singing for children, and guitar. There are also conferences, cinema, theatre, plastic arts exhibitions, and book presentations.

The House of Culture is located in Álvaro Obregón s/n esquina Boulevard Mijares. Visiting hours are from Monday to Friday from 4 pm to 8 pm.
