In the street Juan Domínguez 214, in the centre of the municipality of San José de Gracia, is the Casa de la Cultura (House of Culture) that takes the same name. The building is a dependency of the Instituto Cultural de Aguascalientes (Cultural Institute of Aguascalientes).

La Casa de la Cultura was inaugurated on September 23, 1994. Its educational offer ranges from plastic arts workshops, folkloric and classical dance to traditional candies, ballroom dancing, ceramics, literary creation, breath instruments, guitar, wood carving and theatre.

In the enclosure there are conferences, cinema screenings, theatre plays, as well as exhibitions of plastic arts by local artists.

The building has a Public Library and an Auditorium, where the presentations of the workshop workers, concerts or some theatre plays are held.

Further on, there is El Museo Comunitario de Historia (The Community History Museum) that displays photographs, books and various documents that speak of the old town. In addition to the construction of the first hydraulic work that appeared in our country: La Presa Calles (The Calles Dam).
