VISIT THE PARRISH
Your first stop on this route should be the Iglesia de la Asuncion. See the beauty of a temple built more than 300 years ago. Admire its tower and its façade with indigenous influences and the artistic mix of the XVII century. Go inside and discover the finely worked Christ of cornstalk’s paste adorning the altar and the beautiful pulpit of gilded wood.
MEET THE ARTISANS
Introduce yourself with the artisans who congregate outside the church to sell their wooden figures. You will be surprised by the cooking utensils, containers, toys and figures that are just a sample of the wonderful art that these talented artisans can do with just a chisel and sandpaper.
RIDE ON HORSEBACK
Mount a horse and ride through the streets and paths connecting the picturesque village. Visit Buganvilias Boulevard and the statue of the Diana the Huntress. Admire the jacaranda trees during spring that let you know that you are in the perfect place to relax.
