Meet the sacred spaces of Valle de Bravo
Mahahual is the ideal place for a vacation away from your everyday life. It is isolated from the stress of the city and your day-to-day worries. It is a small fishing village where you will find the only cruise ship dock in the southern part of the state.
SPEND THE DAY ON THE COAST
You can choose to enjoy the calm by relaxing in a hammock on the shore. You will be able to feel the breeze while you admire the contrasting colors of the sand and the sea. Enjoy the beach clubs that offer amenities sure to make your stay a pleasant one.
DISCOVER THE MARINE LIFE
If you opt for something more adventurous, submerge yourself in the turquoise-blue waters, go scuba diving and discover the inconceivable beauty held by the coast, or immerse yourself in the high seas and fish for marlin or sailfish.
DIVE NEXT TO THE LARGEST REEF
Visit Chinchorro Bank, the largest chain of reefs in the country and the second largest in the world. You will find it 18 miles from the coast. Access is only by sea from Mahahual and Xcalak, which makes it a much more exclusive destination. Explore the remains of grounded or sunken ships dating from the sixteenth, seventeenth, and eighteenth centuries along with the different species that inhabit them.
Xcalak is one of the last virgin beaches of the Mexican Caribbean. You can enjoy its incredible landscapes and commune with the flora and fauna of the area. It is a must-see for nature lovers, and it is ideal for snorkeling in the Arrecifes National Park, La Poza, or the caves. Take a boat or kayak and visit La Aguada, which is a mangrove area full of beautiful migratory birds.
