ADMIRE ITS MONUMENTAL CONSTRUCTION
Built in 1902 by an American engineer, the hydroelectric plant’s construction was designed to exploit the force of the waters from the Necaxa, Tenango and Xaltepuxtla rivers and its tributary streams, which include large waterfalls. At the time of its construction, it was considered the largest and most modern hydroelectric production plant in the world.
TOUCH THE TRANSPARENCY OF WATER
Walk around the area and get close to the wall of falling water, where its color is most transparent. Enjoy a boat ride and go fishing for some of the abundant sea breams and carps that populate this huge body of water.
