MEET THE LAGUNAS DE CHACAHUA NATIONAL PARK
It is said that after former president Lázaro Cárdenas del Río visited Chacahua, it was declared to be a Protected Natural Area by presidential decree. Since its foundation in 1937, it has been part of a conservation center and nature reserve that is home to the site's flora and fauna.
