Know Pahuatlán: Place of fruits
Talpa de Allende is a Pueblo Mágico (Magic Town) that receives hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from all over Mexico who flock to the area to visit the Sanctuary of the Virgen del Rosario. The sanctuary is said to have granted hundreds of miracles to those who have made such a long journey to come and visit the place. Most of the pilgrims come by foot from across the Sierra Madre Occidental in hopes of having their petitions granted.
MAKE YOUR OWN JOURNEY
The village’s main square receives thousands of visitors loaded with offerings. Most have made the long journey by foot; some dancing, some on their knees, and others on horseback or by bicycle.
STEP BY STEP, GET INSIDE
Enter the temple and follow in the pilgrims' footsteps. Inside you will find the image of the Virgin on her altarpiece as if she was waiting for her traveling children coming back home. Feel the hope of the people and listen to the silent murmuring of their prayers. The altar is covered by candles and flowers that were offered up as a gratitude for the favors granted.
