VISIT THE HISTORIC CENTER
Take a look of the neoclassical architecture in the historic center, designed by one of the best-known architects of the colony in Mexico, Francisco Eduardo Tresguerras. Meet the Del Carmen Temple with murals and paintings representative of the Christian history, the Cathedral, the San Francisco Convent and the Augustinian Cloister, previously used as a municipal jail, today House of Culture.
Stroll around the Alameda, a cozy place next to the Sanctuary of Guadalupe; cross the Plaza de Armas among its portals and admire the murals representative of the heroes of Mexico inside of the Municipal Palace. Visit the cemetery where the Museum of the Mummies of Celaya is also located. Make an appointment for a nocturnal visit and be surprised by the stories, legends, and symbolisms living in this place.
