The African singer Elida Almeida captivated with her voice the attendees at the Alhóndiga de Granaditas, during her presentation at the 47th International Cervantino Festival.

Almeida, originally from Cape Verde, caught the public with her music, with popular rhythms of great African tradition, which have come since the years of slavery. In addition it maintains the Tabanka tradition that works the song and the ancient African dances.

The Argentine rock legend, Fito Páez once again conquered the Mexican public, this time in his presentation at the 47th International Cervantino Festival, accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of the University of Guanajuato.

Páez made everyone vibrate in their places in the Alhóndiga de Granaditas, in one of the most anticipated presentations on this year's poster in Cervantino.

The Cervantino Festival, named in honor of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, author of Don Quixote of La Mancha, is known for presenting performing arts from all over the world and sharing a passion for the fine arts.

Artistic exhibitions are presented indoors and outdoors, in squares, theaters, museums, churches, and historic buildings.

The busy Festival lasts four weeks of October, and visitors will be delighted with the theater, opera, dance, visual arts, cinema and literature, workshops, exhibitions, and conferences.
