Meet the sacred spaces of Valle de Bravo
Villages always have a church and you can always learn something new from them, such as their details, saints and stories. That is why, when arriving in in Mapimí, visit the Church of Santiago Apostol, the Eldest.
It was built in the 18th Century and has a limestone facade carved with Mudejar details, an Arabic term that means “domestic” and was used to name Muslims who kept on living in the territories conquered by the Christians. The carvings make the church a unique curiosity in the region which you must visit in order to be fascinated by its enormous, deep white ceilings, as well as its limestone walls.
