More than 400 years of Durango history awaits you in Mapimi, declared by UNESCO as World Heritage Site, where you can find architecture from the 17th and 18th Centuries. Stroll through the city and while walking through its alleys visit architectural landmarks like the headquarters of the Department of Commerce, an old and well-preserved building that dates back centuries to when Mapimi was a mining town that was beginning to flourish.

The building of the postal office is a place you must see. Imagine when the love letters, family notices and greetings traveled much slower, but at the same time they had a more personalized feeling.
STOP IN THE TEMPLE SENOR DE MAPIMÍ
Continue onto the Temple Senor de Mapimi, built in 1772 in the Gothic style. The building is unique in having an ancient cemetery with beautiful tombs that belonged to foreigners who worked in the area.
