Originally inhabited by Conchos Indians, a semi-nomadic tribe, the city of Chihuahua demonstrates its history in every corner.

VISIT THE HISTORIC CENTER
Visit the Plaza de Armas, located between the Municipal Palace and the city's cathedral. The latter is an architectural jewel of the city and a beautiful example of the baroque style. You can admire its front carved in the churrigueresque style. Enter to venerate the image of the Christ of Mapimí and to visit the Museum of Sacred Art.
Admire the Heroes of Independence Monument in Plaza Hidalgo. Tour the imposing Government Palace with its neoclassical architecture, and be astounded by the murals, like El altar a la patria at the site where Miguel Hidalgo was executed by firing squad. 

GO OUT AND HAVE FUN IN THE STREETS
Get on the El Tarahumara Tourist Trolley and tour the city's streets. Learn about the legend of Pascualita in La Popular, the oldest bridal shop in México.
Walk along the traditional Libertad Street, enjoy a meal, and buy handcrafts. Enjoy norteña music, salsa, trova, or contemporary music, or have some beers in the traditional La Antigua Paz cantina, which has an interesting history.
