Calvillo is a Pueblo Mágico (Magic Town) nestled within the Sierra Fría, which offers a wide variety of treasures for visitors who come to know it.

When you get to Calvillo, board the Guayequito trolley and begin your odyssey through time by visiting the most emblematic sites: the Municipal Palace, the Monument to the Heroes of the Independence and the Parish of the Lord of Salitre. Get off at the latter to admire its imposing dome, then enter the sanctuary and view the illuminating altar covered in gold.

In the Central Garden, ask the locals for Don Toño's ice creams; there are four flavors, all topped with a rich guava jam. In the market, you will find a range of possibilities to eat deliciously and very affordably. Taste the birria, the carnitas or the gorditas de frijol. Let your palate taste the traditional sugar-coated guava rolls.

Approach the artisans and learn about fraying, an art passed down from generation to generation; relax and let the time pass while you observe the concentrated artisans cutting, fraying and embroidering of the most beautiful rebozos, tablecloths, napkins and blouses with impressive dexterity.
