Meet the Gertrudis Bocanegra Public Library : a living mural
In terms of art, Aguascalientes has much to offer. In the Guadalupe Posada Museum you can learn about the Mexican symbol par excellence: the emblematic Catrina. Posada worked for almost all the publications of the country that were opposed to Porfirio Diaz, president of Mexico from 1876 to 1911. He elaborated political illustrations and satirical lithographs, including his famous caricature of death, Catrina; the National Museum of Death is home to more original works of Posada and other artists.
