The William Spratling
Museum ? Located at
1 Porfirio A. Delgado Street. At
this museum you?ll see maps
and documents from the colonial era, as well as a collection of pre-Hispanic
objects that famed American silversmith William Spratling donated to the
city of Taxco. Open Tuesday through
Saturday from 10:00 to 5:00 and Sundays
from 9:00 to 3:00.
Museo de Arte
Virreinal (Casa Humboldt) ? Located
at 12 Juan Ruiz de Alarcon Street. This museum
has 14 showrooms with exhibits that focus
on the city?s
history and Taxco?s relevant art during the
colonial era. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 to 5:30 and Sundays from
9:00 to 3:00.
Museo de la Plateria
Antonio Pineda (The Silverwork Museum) ? Located
in the Patio de las Artesanias,
at 1 Plaza Borda. Here you can appreciate silverwork from Taxco, such as replicas of pre-Hispanic pieces,
award-winning pieces, and the
works of American silversmith William Spratling.
