In Patzcuaro you can visit a museum with the largest collection of arts and crafts made by local artisans.

 

Museo de Artes e Industrias Populares. Located on the corner of Enseñanza and Alcantarilla. Located in the former Colegio de San Nicolas Obispo, this museum has nine showrooms displaying Michoacan arts and crafts, such as textiles, colorful wood works and sculptures made from maize paste. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 to 7:00 and Sundays from 9:00 to 3:00.
