GET READY TO EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC OF MEXICO
MARKETPLACE
Travel
professionals gather in 11 cities throughout the U.S.
Miami, Fl; February
17, 2009— Travel professionals across the U.S. will unite to attend the 15th
annual Magic ofMexico
Marketplace. These events unite Mexico's
most important tourism suppliers and tour operators and travel professionals in
eleven key U.S.
markets. The series will visit Miami, Atlanta and New
York for the first time.
Launched in 1995, these
comprehensive events are supported by the Mexico Tourism Board and coordinated
and produced by Oregon-based Destination Ventures, Ltd. Experts in Mexico
marketing, Destination Ventures is best known as the organizer of the popular
"Magic of Mexico" online specialist program, also with the
collaboration of the Mexico Tourism Board.
In 2009, the focus will be on a wide range of Mexico destinations. “We want
agents to have quality interactions with these tourism boards, not just pick-up
a brochure,” says Greg Custer, Vice President of Destination Ventures,
Ltd.
“The Mexico Tourism Board works together with Destination Ventures
in order to reinforce the online learning experience that makes possible a
direct feedback between our CVBs and the tour operators” said Eduardo
Chaillo, Regional Director for the Mexico Tourism Board in the U.S. market.
“This is an educational tool that gives travel agents a complete overview
of what Mexico
has to offer.”
As in 2008, Virtuoso will extend special invitations to both their
member agencies and preferred Mexico
suppliers. The 2009 program offers a highly interactive experience where
attendees can expect small-group, face-to-face supplier meetings, a sit-down dinner with hosted wine, hosted
parking and travel package prizes.
The 11 planned events are sponsored by the Mexico
Tourism Board and Aeromexico, with various destinations’ CVB’s in
attendance. Current exhibitors include Aeromexico, GoGo Worldwide Vacations,
Funjet Vacations, Apple Vacations, Pleasant Holidays, and the CVBs of Mazatlán,
Riviera Nayarit, Los Cabos, Puerto
Vallarta, Pueblo Bonito, Grand Mayan, Zoetry Paraiso
de la Bonita, Oasis Hotels, Crown Paradise Hotels, The Villa Group, and others.
The “Magic of Mexico” interactive online learning and specialist
program will also be featured.
