Windy City gets a taste of Caribbean flavor

Mexico Tourism Board and the
Cancun Convention and Visitors Bureau launch new promotional campaign “Cancun Deeply Unique”
-170 taxis will be circulating in Chicago sporting Cancun’s
new image and style
Chicago, IL (Sept.24, 2008) - On September 29, the streets of Chicago will be the scenario for the launch of the new
promotional campaign under the slogan “Cancun Deeply Unique’ presented by theMexico Tourism Board and the
Cancun Convention and Visitors Bureau.A total
of 170 especially customized Chicago taxis will
be out driving around the streets of Chicago
for hire from September 29 to November 9.
After the success of the campaign in London and Manchester four month ago, Cancun brings its new image and
style for the first time to the U.S.
choosing Chicago-one of Cancun’s top
markets-, as the host city. The taxis will be sporting the new Cancun logo,
brand new images of the destination and the Mexico
logo under the themes of “Cancun Deeply Relaxing” and “Cancun
Deeply Fashion” which emphasize the charms of Cancun
as a Premium destination where sky is the limit when it comes to
sophistication, luxury, adventure and relaxation.Cancun continues to prove its utter uniqueness by offering the highest
quality tourism services to travelers of all lifestyles, who are in search of a
combination of truly exclusive experiences and superlative service. In Cancun, there really is something for everyone!
In this occasion, Rodrigo Esponda, Director for the Midwest of the Mexico Tourism Board and Guillermo Romero,
Marketing Director for the Cancun CVB will host the ceremony to officially
launch the campaign joined by Emilio Reyner, Public
Relations Director for the Cancun CVB.
The presentation will be on Monday September 29,
11:00am on the street next to Adler Planetarium at 1300 South Lake Shore Drive 60605.
Members of the press will receive information on Cancun, Mexico’s
premier international tourist destination and will have the opportunity to meet
and share with tourism representatives.
