“A TASTE OF VERACRUZ” KICKED OFF IN MIAMI
Miami, FL – Sept. 24th 2008 — The Mexico Tourism Board’s Miami
office joined the State of Veracruz
to celebrate “A Taste of Veracruz.”With the joyful background music of the acoustic harp and the jarana, the Veracruz dancers performed a live,
traditional folkloric dance, during the kick off cocktail of the culinary
festival, “A Taste of Veracruz” this past Thursday, September 18th,
at the JW Marriott Hotel Miami. Attendees were welcomed by Ivan Hillman,
Secretary of Tourism of the State of Veracruz,
Ambassador Juan Miguel Gutierrez Tinoco from the
Consulate of Mexico in Miami and Teresa
Villarreal, Director of the Mexico Tourism Board
in Miami.
Members of the tourism industry and invited guests had
the opportunity to enjoy Veracruz-style cocktails and savor exquisite dishes
representative of original gastronomy in the region. A Taste of Veracruz was a
part of the celebrations commemorating Mexican Independence during the month of
September.
