Experience the Caribbean in Mexico at Mall of America®

 Through song, dance, cuisine and more

 

 

 

BLOOMINGTON, Minn., (Sept. 16, 2008) – The Mexico Tourism Board the State of Quintana Roo, MLT Vacations and Mall of America will present “Experience the Caribbean in Mexico” from Oct. 2 through Oct. 12, The event will give guests a sneak peak at the charm that the state of Quintana Roo has to offer through indulging their senses, emotions, body and mind.

 

The state of Quintana Roo is located in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula which stretches along the Caribbean Sea, and is home to four of Mexico’s most popular destinations such as Cancun- deeply unique, the islands of Cozumel and Isla Mujeres, the awe-inspiring Riviera Maya strip the awe-inspiring Riviera Maya strip and the history-filled Grand Costa Maya area, in the south of the State.

 

At ”Experience the Caribbean in Mexico”, guests will be transported into what feels, looks and sounds like the beautiful region Mexico that is Quintana Roo.  Guests will have an opportunity to learn about the great heritage of the Mayan culture by observing Mayan craftsmen crate works of art right before their eyes. The Mexican Folkloric Ballet will re-enact pre-Hispanic religious ritual dances, while kids will have the opportunity to participate in the breaking of a piñata.

 

Mall guests will also have the opportunity to listen to soprano Laura Chuch, the Tambodje, the Cielito Lindo duet, and International Jazz performances. Or, if guests prefer physical activities, they can try the climbing wall or take a swing at the golf simulator.

 

Families will be able to learn about turtle rescue efforts in Mexico and can spend time with Dora and Diego in Nickelodeon Universe. And finally, for those enamored with Mexican cuisine, guests will have the opportunity to learn delicious Mexican recipes at the cooking classes instructed by highly renowned chefs. With all of this to offer and more, the event promises to be an adventure to remember.
